A New Chapter Begins: Alfa Prima Karangasem Students Join Bali Sehat Clinic
This week marked the start of a new on-job training program at Bali Sehat Clinic, as a group of Health Management students from Alfa Prima Karangasem officially joined the clinic’s daily operations. The handover ceremony brought together representatives from both institutions, formally marking the beginning of the students’ practical learning journey.
A Collaboration Built on Shared Purpose

Healthcare is not learned from textbooks alone. It is learned in real waiting rooms, real conversations with patients, and real moments of responsibility. This collaboration between Bali Sehat Clinic and Alfa Prima Karangasem reflects that belief giving students the chance to apply classroom theory inside an active community clinic in Amed, Karangasem.
During the ceremony, clinic management formally received the students and presented each one with an official identification badge, a small but symbolic gesture marking their new role as part of the Bali Sehat team for the duration of their training.
What the On-Job Training Program Involves

Throughout their placement, the Alfa Prima students will be immersed in the clinic’s administrative and operational workflow. This includes:
Patient registration and medical records management, coordination between clinical and non-clinical teams, and hands-on exposure to how a community-based healthcare facility runs day to day.
For many of the students, this marks their first direct experience translating health management theory into real-world practice.
Investing in the Next Generation of Healthcare Workers
For Bali Sehat Clinic, this is more than a routine internship placement. It is part of a longer-term vision: building a sustainable healthcare system in rural Bali that is supported not only by donors and volunteers, but by a growing generation of skilled local professionals.
By partnering with Alfa Prima Karangasem, Bali Sehat Clinic continues to strengthen its role not just as a healthcare provider, but as a training ground for the future of community health management in Karangasem.
After the formal handover, staff, management, and students gathered for a group photo in the clinic’s main hall a quiet but meaningful symbol of what happens when education and healthcare work side by side.
