Our History

Since the official inauguration of Bali Sehat Clinic on October 2, 2021, our journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

With immense joy and deep gratitude, we are proud to share that we have provided healthcare services to over 56,000 individuals, with 73% of them receiving free medical care, a reflection of our unwavering commitment to serve underprivileged.

This milestone is not just a number

It is a testament to compassion, solidarity, and a belief that quality healthcare should be a basic human right, not a privilege.

The graph below shows our patient growth year by year – a clear picture of how many lives we’ve been able to touch since we opened our doors, and why families across Amed continue to trust us for their care.

Our joy at the official Grand Opening Ceremony, held under strict COVID protocols, was only diminished by the tragic loss of our dear founder Ray Bishop, who didn’t live to see his dream come true. His legacy will remain. He will not be forgotten.

Our Team

We are currently 22 committed team members, including doctors, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, accountants, caretakers and our Medical Director, Dr. Lanang Angga, who has been a volunteer for Bali Sehat from day one.

Our Board

Our dedicated board members give their time, their hearts, and their souls to help us fulfill our mission.

They come from both Australia, home to our founders Sue and Ray Bishop, and Indonesia. This Australian-Indonesian partnership has shaped Bali Sehat since day one and keeps it connected to supporters on both sides of the ocean.
