Denpasar, October 15, 2025 – In an inspiring step toward improving access to healthcare, Yayasan Bali Sehat, based in Abang District, Karangasem, held an official meeting with the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud). The meeting aimed to explore collaboration opportunities in community service programs, particularly in the form of medical outreach and social health services in Karangasem and surrounding areas.

Bridging Healthcare and Education
This collaboration is part of Bali Sehat Clinic’s continuous mission as a clinic in Amed to bring healthcare closer to rural communities while providing hands-on learning opportunities for medical students and healthcare professionals.
By combining academic knowledge from the university and field experience from Bali Sehat’s humanitarian programs, this partnership is expected to produce sustainable solutions that truly reach those most in need.
Shared Goals for a Healthier Community

The partnership focuses on three main objectives:
- Improving access to medical care for underprivileged families in Karangasem.
- Providing a platform for students and medical professionals to enhance clinical and communication skills through real community engagement.
- Building long-term collaboration between educational institutions and community-based health initiatives, promoting empathy and social awareness in medical practice.
Meeting Details

The Bali Sehat delegation was led by Dr. Lanang Krishna Angga K, S.Ked., Chairman of Yayasan Bali Sehat, accompanied by HRD representative I Gusti Ayu Mirah Suwinita.
They were warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic and Planning Affairs at FK Unud, along with Dr. Dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, S.Ked., M.Kes., Coordinator of the Information and Cooperation Management Unit (UPIKS).
The discussion took place in the Dean’s Meeting Room at FK Unud Denpasar, symbolizing a shared vision of service and compassion between academia and field practitioners.
“This partnership will not only benefit patients in Karangasem but also inspire young doctors to serve with heart and purpose,” said Dr. Lanang Krishna Angga, founder of Bali Sehat Clinic.
Prof. Ady Wirawan also emphasized that community service is a vital part of medical education, and such collaborations can strengthen both student competencies and social impact.

Through this initiative, Bali Sehat Clinic continues to expand its community health programs in Karangasem, including free medical check-ups, stunting prevention programs, and outreach to remote villages.
The collaboration with Udayana University marks another milestone in building a sustainable, inclusive, and community-centered health ecosystem in Bali.
