Nestled deep in the hills of Karangasem, Ban Village is a place where time seems to stand still. With its winding dirt roads and limited infrastructure, access to even the most basic medical care is often out of reach for the residents. But one bright day in May, something truly beautiful happened.
A full team from Bali Sehat Clinic including doctors, nurses, dentists, and volunteers made the difficult journey to Ban Village. Armed with medical equipment, vitamins, and compassion, they brought with them something even more powerful than medicine: hope.

A Day Filled with Care, Compassion, and Change

From morning until evening, villagers lined up patiently outside the community center, which had been transformed into a makeshift clinic. More than 100 people came some walking from kilometers away to receive care they hadn’t had access to in years.
- Children giggled nervously during their first-ever dental checkups, some receiving their first toothbrushes.
- Mothers learned how to care for their newborns, including the importance of hygiene and nutrition.
- Elderly villagers received physical therapy and treatment for chronic pain, especially in knees and backs worn down by decades of farm labor.
The atmosphere was filled with gratitude. For many villagers, this was the first time a doctor had ever examined them. One elderly man said it best: “I never thought someone would come this far to help us.”
More Than Just a One-Day Mission
Health Days like this are more than just a medical visit they are a lifeline. They prevent untreated infections, reduce malnutrition, and empower communities with health education. But one day is not enough.
With your support, we can bring this life-saving care to more remote villages across Bali. Bali Sehat Clinic’s mobile teams are ready, but we need help to reach the isolated hills, broken roads, and forgotten communities.
