DESCRIPTION:ASEAN Dengue Day is observed on June 15 every year and represents a regional advocacy initiative aimed at raising awareness against dengue. It is a collective advocacy event to reiterate calls on all sectors of society to unite against dengue\, as well as to highlight innovative and effective strategies in the prevention and control of the disease. The International Society for Infectious DiseasesMalaria Consortium \nThe 2025 theme\, “Towards Zero Dengue Deaths: Science\, Strategy\, and Solidarity”\, underscores the importance of community involvement in eradicating dengue — a message that remains just as urgent in 2026\, particularly across Bali and the wider Southeast Asia region. Historically\, Bali sees a spike in dengue cases during the dry season from May through October\, as reduced rainfall leads people to store fresh water around homes and businesses\, creating ideal breeding grounds for Aedes mosquitoes in uncovered containers.
